Deposit Agreement
Please read thoroughly
DEPOSITS:
Deposits are non-refundable and will not be returned for any reason, and remain with me until the final sitting of any ongoing project. Deposits range from a minimum of $100 up to half the quoted price for larger projects.
Vancouver (home base) - With 5 days or less cancellation notice or with no-shows, the deposit will be forfeit.
Travel (outside of Vancouver) - With 7 days or less cancellation notice or with no-shows, the deposit will be forfeit.
To ensure a smooth and respectful experience for all clients, please be aware of the following policies regarding late arrivals:
Arriving Late: If you arrive more than 20 minutes late to your scheduled appointment, you may be charged for my time.
Appointment Cancellation: Late arrivals exceeding 20 minutes may result in the cancellation of your appointment and forfeiture of your deposit, especially if another client is scheduled afterward.
Communication: If you anticipate being late, please notify me as soon as possible. While I strive to accommodate delays, arriving on time is crucial to maintain the quality and schedule of services.
Appointments may be rescheduled up to two times; after that, a new deposit is required to rebook.
Deposits will come off the cost of your tattoo and are taken for the artists’ protection. If you change your mind on a drawing a new deposit will be required, so make sure you have all your details decided and communicated before you leave a deposit.
Payment:
Cash/ E-transfer only!
Payment must be made immediately after the appointment.
As an evolving artist, hourly rates do increase with time, and may be raised on a yearly bases. If you need confirmation on my hourly please email prior to your appointment.
QUOTES / DRAWING (DESIGNS):
Quotes given are “estimates” based on size, location, detail, etc. Every person’s skin is different and for this reason quotes are only ballpark figures.
I do not show my drawings or designs prior to your appointment.
TOUCH UPS AND COVER UPS:
Clients will receive 1 free touch-up, if booked within 6 months of your appointment. After that there will be a regular hourly charge (at my current rate).
Most cover-ups require more than one session to get rid of the old tattoo. This is because the old tattoo usually comes through the cover-up a bit after it’s healed. Because of the layering nature of cover-ups, clients will be charged in full for touch ups on cover-ups.
SKIN CARE / CLOTHING:
Avoid tanning/burning your skin in advance of your appointment, it can affect the tattoo/healing process.
Do not wear any skin care products or tanning creams to the appointment, and shaving isn't necessary in advance.
Plan on resting as much as possible the week after the tattoo. Sweating, sun, heat, physical activity, standing for long periods, all adversely affect the healing process.
Please schedule your appointment when you have the most time afterwards to be off your feet. For tattoos on feet, knees, elbows and ditch, these locations are more sensitive than others and require extra post tattoo rest days because of the swelling. Please note I do not tattoo neck, throats, and palms. Please wear tattoo placement appropriate clothing.
NUMBING CREAMS:
Please ask me in advance if you would like to use numbing. This will depend on your skin type, location of the tattoo on the body, etc. I do not approve this for all projects.
FOOD:
You are encouraged to bring food/beverages with you to your appointment as high blood sugar levels reduce pain during the process. If you are here for a long session, we have a fridge you can use!
PAIN MEDICATION:
If you are consuming any type of pain medication please let me know when you arrive at your appointment. Often it takes around 30 minutes before we start tattooing so you may want to wait until you arrive.
